There is nothing more important to us than a happy client. Almost all of our new projects are as a result of personal recommendations, and we are quite rightly very proud of that fact. We are aware that there is nothing better than hearing what we are like at ouur craft and what quality of work you can expect.
Below is a testimonial from one of our clients which we hope sums it all up perfectly.
"In Oct 2008 we commissioned a designer to come up with a new look for our 15 year old family kitchen without changing the pine units, granite work surfaces or basic layout.
We set about getting quotes from independent craftsmen. Debbie’s name came up as an experienced decorator of kitchen units however the only contact number we had was for a fax machine. When we hadn’t heard back before Xmas we approached a decorator some 80 miles away, and, were about to confirm when we heard from Debbie & Ian.
We felt obliged to get a second quote but approached their visit with caution - they sounded posh and expensive and they came from Harrogate not Cleethorpes! They immediately understood the look we wanted and talked with authority about best way to achieve it -including the necessary 7 stage process for painting pine units. Ian had vision - suggesting we may want to consider changes to the tiles, taps, plug sockets, light switches and door handles!! He was right – brushed steel was going to look better in a “Shaker style” kitchen than our rope edged brass sockets!
They were clearly not just “decorators” and we agreed that Ian & Debbie were the ones for the job – but could we afford them? When the estimate arrived it itemised exactly what they would do and what they could either subcontract, or, leave to us to arrange. It broke the process into stages, split materials and labour, and, was lower than our alternative!
Ian provided practical help choosing tiles and negotiating a discount. Debbie took us through the alternative paint finishes and advised on colours. They embraced the project coordinating the work of the subcontractors and involving us when necessary. Their attention to detail and expertise extended to sanding and polishing the pine table and bench and refitting drawers.
The job was completed on time and within budget. Debbie arranged a return date 3 months later to sort out any snagging. This was completed to our satisfaction. We are totally happy with the result and would strongly recommend Ian & Debbie for their professional, “hands on” approach, style, and outstanding craftsmanship. Were we to embark on a new project I would involve them at the design stage."
